Taste Test Rules of Conduct

In order to participate on taste panels, you must have the following with you when you come in:
  • A valid ID card (Drivers license or State ID)

To minimize distractions, we ask that you please do the following:
  • Do not participate on panels if you are sick (ex. cold, flu, sinus, etc).
    — We prefer to keep germs from spreading to our other panelists.
    — Your ability to taste our products is negatively affected.

  • Avoid consumption of strong food or drink ½ hour before panel
    — Items such as coffee and garlic can linger and affect your ability to taste our products

  • Avoid smoking ½ hour before your scheduled time
    — Smoking decreases your ability to taste and a ½ hour is recommended as the amount of time it takes for you to recover.

  • Avoid using strong perfumes or fragrances
    — You may not be able to smell your perfume or fragrance since you adapt to it after a certain amount of time but others can and it can negatively affect their ability to smell & taste in the booth area.

  • Avoid talking during evaluation
    — The booth area is a controlled area, where there should be no distractions. Talking is a distraction and we want you to focus on tasting our products.

  • When you leave the booth area, DO NOT talk about the products you tasted
    — We need each panelist to test the products without hearing other people's opinions about them. You might think you're only talking to your friend but a tester who hasn't yet participated might overhear.

  • Please turn off cell phone or put on vibrate mode
    — The booth area is a controlled area, where there should be no distractions. The ringing of your phone is a distraction and talking is strongly discouraged; we want you to focus on tasting our products.
